Background Information:
Suzanne was born on May 11, 1953 in Payson, Utah. She is the third oldest of seven children born to Kenneth J. Pinegar and Ruth Richardson Pinegar. She married Alan Osmond on July 16, 1974 and together they have eight sons.

What was your life like before you met Alan?
It was like anybody else, very normal. Never had any experience in show business. I was attending BYU in my Junior year studying early childhood education, (early childhood education covers pre-school through 6th grade) cheerleading at BYU, and working. I worked in the bookstore on campus and just went to school and did anything else anyone else that age would be doing.

In the summer I lived at home with my parents in Spanish Fork and then during the first year fall and winter semesters I lived on campus and then in an apartment with friends.
 

What were your plans for the future?
My plans were to get an education and a teaching certificate. From the end of my high school and into my college years I was also building a trousseau like most girls would be. I purchased my china, my silver, and had a cedar chest I kept things in. I paid for it over time for that day when I would have a husband and family and assumed that I wouldn't have the opportunity to purchase those things later so I was working at that.
